Finally, an about page that actually serves a purpose.

There are 2 items of importance for this page: the present, and the future.

The present (what you should expect on this site):

The stories reported here will mainly be entertainment and more so lighthearted. There won't be politics and super serious (and depressing) topics covered here. I do take interest in the box office (which is how much money a movie makes at the movie theaters) but this will not be a box office website. I will occasionally post a movie (or book) review, and I would bring up the box office, because that's relevant, but the majority of the article will not be focused on the numbers. I don't intend any movie to have more than 3 articles about it, if I cover it at all. I won't cover the opening weekend of a movies' box office for no reason (you can see that info in 1 sentence from a dozen different websites anyway). There could very well be movies that I plan to watch this year, that I won't write articles about, because I don't think that fits into the websites theme. I will not publish articles to fill a quota. Quality is important. Your time matters. As another example, I like superhero movies. But there will not be articles on here about rumors of certain movies, even if they seem very legitimate, and are big news. This website aims to be funny with takes on the news, without repeating a story half a dozen times.

Secondly this website will never have ads (the spammy, annoying, gross kind). As someone who visits websites myself (as we all do), I find those ads awful, distracting, and in some cases, as a lot of us are aware, they're so bad we just leave the website, because the website is unreadable (which is wild). This website will not have any of that. There may be sponsored messages on this website, but that will be native content, so once the page loads, everything loads, and there would be a paragraph or two about the product or service, and an image, with a link, for example. All of these products or services will be things that I purchased in my life personally, without the intention of running an advertisement for it. Lots of influencers get "freebies" which are products and services they wouldn't have bought themselves, but now that they got it for free or at a huge discount for the specific purpose to run an ad for it, they're going to advertise that. I will never do that. Anything I run an ad for is something I wanted or needed in my own life, that I have enough faith in, to recommend to others. That being said, there is a way to not even have sponsored messages which bring us to the The future:

The future (what you should anticipate on this site):

In the future there will be a listed fundraising goal, for a specific amount of time, once a year, that will not last very long, ideally. There will be specifics on how that would affect sponsored messages. The intention is the fundraising goal would be reached, and there would not be any sponsored messages on the site after the goal for a specific amount of time (sponsorships in previous articles would stay though). The actual goal itself will be known (for example if I was trying to raise one hundred dollars, it would be known that one hundred dollars is the goal), and a tracker of the amount would also be present on the website. Transparency is very important to me in regard to what people are actually asking for. There's a lot of instances where people ask for money and say they have a goal in mind, but they don't actually say how much they need total, and in some instances don't even say how much they're actually getting, and then it feels like a money grab, and I always intended to do the opposite of that, if I ever had a situation where that would be applicable, which in this case, is this website.
